As we all know, in plastic injection
molding area, steel material treatment is one of the important factor for
plastic injection mould manufacturing, which will effect mould life, mould
usage and so on.
Today, let us discuss about mould material
treatment:
Heat Treatment : heat treatment is a
technology changing material physical property by the heating and cooling. Heating
treatment can change steel structure inside, and transfer it to required
physical property. The tenacity, hardness and abrasive resistance of the
material will be improve or reduce. Heating treatment is including Tempering, Annealing,
surface tempering and so on. Such as H13, 2316, usually ,we use heat treatment
for this material.
Hardening : hardending is a technology that
heat steel material to a certain temperature, after set heat-keep time, cooling
with oil, water, salty water and any other liquid medium. The main aim is get a
thing after dealing with the steel and improve the steel material strength and
hardness. For example, usually 718H material need to pre-harden before tooling.
